After months of planning we have finally made it to Atlanta to the famed and fantastical Ikea. We bought 2 sofas, an armchair, butcherblock countertops and a bunch of little stuff for an extremely low price. It was amazing, like being in an airport or something except it’s an airport where you can buy all kinds of reasonably priced furniture and vases and whatnot in a Euro-streamlined manner.
After shopping we visited the famous Varsity drive-in for chili dogs and fried pies.

I’m not pleased to report that today I had another episode with the horrendous stomach pain that visits me every now and again, but I am very pleased that nurse at the family clinic gave me a shot of painkiller that knocked me out for an hour or two so I could have even a short respite from the pain.
